As Manager Customer Operations Services, you will oversee customer-focused operational processes for our Rotterdam–Felixstowe, Rotterdam–Immingham, Rotterdam-Vilagarcia, and IJmuiden–Newcastle routes and the train to Poland. You will ensure customs compliance, drive digital transformation and process standardization, and support sustainability initiatives. You will collaborate closely with terminal operations, customer service, and cross-functional teams, reporting directly to the Route Director Netherlands.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage and inspire the Customer Operations team
- Recruit, train an develop talent
- Drive change and process improvements
- Optimize freight operations and customer experience
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure and boost performance.
- Build strong customer relationships and long-term partnerships.
- Hold responsibility for the AEO permit and serve as the AEO compliance team representative.
- Collaborate with our other entities to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
About You
You have a proven track record in a managerial role within operations, customer service, or a related field, ideally with a focus on customs activities. You also bring:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
- A proactive mindset and the courage to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Experience in driving digital transformation and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and networking abilities.
- Deep knowledge of customs regulations, AEO standards, and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
